Max's Revenge by Sally Gould ebook review

 

   To be honest I felt left out of this great series! Even thought his is the first Max book, there are many to date!

    So here is what I learned about
    Max in Max's revenge by Sally Gould:

    Max is an average kid with an act for getting into trouble. Max and his older brother Charlie have come up with a new game were they test dad's patients and see who can get the farthest without getting in serious trouble or dad realizing that they are trying to get away with annoying him.

    Max also tries to figure out adults. Why does his uncle need a big wedding in a church? Why does his mother hope that his soon to be aunt Sophie has a baby when she complained that he was too much as a child?

    Reading Max's revenge reminded me of all the questions I had as a kid and how I found myself in to mischief... unintentionally of course.

    Max originally thought he was a shoe in for the pageboy at the wedding but is booted for unknown reasons. That is until Max figured out the only person who would out him on his streak of mischief would be his aunt Avril or aunt Evil as he likes to call her.

     In Max's revenge, Max deals with jealousy, punishment, a half alien brother and a flower girl he has a crush on. He learns a few tricks from some new uncles and you will enjoy plenty  of laughs while Max plots his revenge.

     I would recommend this book for ages 7-10 both boys and girls. My daughter(age 8) and myself found Max's spontaneous behavior to be extremely humorous and can not wait to read more.
